Broad beans

Rich in vegetable fibre they are preferred for their low fat content. They are at the base of many slimming regimes and they guarantee the quantity of vitamin B1 and folic acid required. In cooking they are used as a side-dish but also as a base to many dishes such as falafel or mashed beans.
