Basil


Its scent and its taste is one of the distinctive traits of Italian cooking. It accompanies the typical pasta and tomato and pizza, just to name two famous dishes. In general, it is added fresh to completed dishes, cooking basil diminishes greatly its aroma and its taste. It is at the base of many medicines linked to traditional medicine with anti-inflammatory and diuretic functions.
